The country where the seal is granted must be a commonwealth country with the exception of Hong Kong. An original of the grant or a certified copy of each page of the original grant is required for the reseal of the grant to be made in New Zealand and it will bear the second stamp or seal.
WHAT IS A RESEAL OF PROBATE IN NEW ZEALAND
In a nutshell, a seal of probate or letters of administration granted in one commonwealth country is taken to a court in another commonwealth country and given a seal in the second country to enable the uplift of assets from each of the financial institutions or land registries to enable the transfer or sale of land.
